Top 8 Things I Hate About My HTC HD7 Windows Phone

I have had my HTC HD7 Windows phone for close to a year now, and over the course of that time I have created a list of the top 8 things that I hate about the HTC HD7.

If you are thinking about getting one, keep these this list in mind.

1. Volume Level-

I can have my phone at the highest volume setting, and still it is hard to hear it if it rings in my purse.

I miss 50% of all of my calls due to the volume. That's not the only rant I have about the volume though; you see, on the phone itself there is a touchscreen where a button pops up randomly to set the phone to vibrate mode. If you have your phone in your bag, it can cause the phone to shift around, and the phone will somehow magically set itself to vibrate mode, in turn again causing you to miss a call due to not being able to hear it.

However, it does not stop there.

At the highest volume setting, if there is any noise whatsoever in the room where you picked up your call, you will have a hard time hearing the person on the other line. You can forget about ever answering the phone in an area where there is even a small amount of noise.

2. Camera

When they built this one, they did it all wrong. The cameras eye sticks out apparently too far, and mine ended up getting scratched so severely that I cannot even use it. The cameras eye should not stick out of the back the way it does, it should have been built sunk in, so that way no dirt, debris, or scratches could have occurred. This one however is poorly designed.

When the camera did work, before getting scratched beyond use, it sucked anyway. The touchscreen on the camera mode was awkward to use, and it was easy to drop the phone due to their layout of what buttons you needed to press.

3. APP Store

I really do not even need to go into full details on this one. The APP store they have included, aka the marketplace is horrible. It is down and not even able to load nearly 75% of the time whenever I try to look or browse on it.

When it does allow me to get into it, it will randomly freeze up, and if I want to go back to the screen I was on previously while reading about a certain APP, it will take me back to page 1, just causing frustrations to the point where I do not even care to continue to browse or shop.

4. Battery Life

I have to leave this pile of garbage on it's charger all day long while in the office. It will fully charge, and be dead just 10 hours later and that is when it was not even in use. The battery just drains all on its own accord.

5. Ringtones

You cannot make any of your own, everything must be purchased, and even if you are a Tmobile customer, and you had purchased ringtones for a previous phone, they are gone. You will have to call to make a complaint to get credited for your past purchases.

6. Internet

It's slow, it drops signal, and browsing is a nightmare on it. I do not even bother going on, even though I pay for data.

7. Texting

Horrible.

The touch keys are too close to one another, which constantly results in errors, and longer amounts of time wasted fixing typos. I hate texting now. I used to love it on my old phone.

8. Random Black Screen

For no reason at all, there are times when this phone will literally just go black and reboot itself; it could be while trying to make a call, trying to text, or on call. It's frustrating, because you have to wait for it to re-boot.

Over 200 Resident Houses Clicked & Still No Holiday Cheer! Come On Cityville!?!?!?

I was beginning to think that my Cityville game was bugged for the past few days considering the fact that the newest Elf Quest requires you to gather Holiday Cheer?

What the heck is Holiday Cheer?

Sadly I cannot post a photo as to what it is, seeing that I have not gathered a single one in the game yet. However supposedly, when you click on Cityville resident homes, you will at times gather it.

But When?

Well Cityville players, prepare to be angry. as the odds are not in your favor. With each click on a resident home, you only have a 5% chance of actually aquiring Holiday Cheer.

I am 200 clicks in so far on homes, how many times have you clicked before actually getting one?

If Amazon Would Just Pay Their Reviewers, They Could Kick

Ass!!!

I write on Associated Content, I am an Epinions pioneer (long gone now though), I write on Bukisa, here on my blog, I stumbleUpon at times, BrightHub is a hoot but requires too much time, and HubPages is in the terlit as far as I am concerned.

With all of the new changes google has put most writing community's through, it is impossible for me to figure out which venue to stick with, and I have pretty much given up on all of them, including my all time favorite AC, nor YCN! or something of that nature.

At any rate, it dawned on me in the past, at how quickly I would throw all of my sites to the curb if Amazon provided some sort of incentive to those sharing reviews, I mean COME ON! People are posting reviews for free, and that's just ... in a writers opinion, a waste of your time. Anything you provide, to help a company sell products should have been followed up by some sort of incentive, and honestly I do not know how many times I have purchased items off of amazon just based solely off of consumer reviews, so AMAZON hear me out, quit being greedy fucks, and start providing incentives to consumers who pay you, and those who review for free (idiots).

Even if they offered money towards future purchases, or something of that nature, this site very well could knock every other content site out of the park.

Sims 3: Generations- Coming Soon!!!

Fans of the Sims 3 PC game can all celebrate the fact that last months rumors about a new expansion pack called Sims 3: Generations, is in fact no longer a rumor, but a hard fact!

This particular expansion pack seems to focus more on children and teens, which is something the Sims 3 sort of overlooked, not just in this particular Sim game, but every game prior to that. Even the Sims 2 did not
focus too much on children and teens. They were sort of just there, fun to look at, but not very fun to interact with or even bother with until they became old enough to go to college.

Now major events occur and follow your Sims around throughout their life. Children can have imaginary friends, teens can pull pranks and throw parties.

Fear not though, adult Sims are not ignored, as they too will have some new and refreshing game play for you to toy with, such as having a midlife crisis.

After peeking at the released Generations game trailer, I was pretty excited to see an array of new things that will be added to the base game once this expansion pack is released. Eye spy a new baby stroller, which will allow our Sim parents to take walks with their baby, a new tree house fort, a sand box where Sim children can build castles, or destroy them. There seems to be a larger an grander elaborate set up for weddings, house parties, and even graduations. New themed outfits for children including old (not so missed) characters such as the princess and the dinosaur. A yard slip and slide is also spotted in the video as well.

Teens will be able to throw eggs at homes and plant stink bombs.

All in all things look interesting and fun in Generations. This is probably going to be one of the stranger expansion packs as it is different from anything else we have seen come from The Sims franchise. Personally though, I really miss weather.

The Sims 3: Generations is set for release on May 31st, 2011.

Recap of Season Premiere of Audrina on VH1

I do not watch commercials anymore, in this day and age the magical fast forward and record button was introduced to us VIA Tivo, and other recordable TV boxes. I had no idea that VH1 was airing a reality show based off of one of my Laguna Beach/ The Hills stars, and when I decided to channel surf I discovered to my luck that the season premiere to a new reality show, called Audrina would be airing that same night! Man TV stations need to come up with new means of advertising, because commercials are only seen by...well... I have no idea?

I was wondering how VH1 got hold of her, as MTV was the airing station of The Hills, where we last saw Audrina.

Instead of drama brought on by peers, this reality show focuses in on Audrina's actual family, which is interesting. We meet her mom, dad, and sibling's, and fans of The Hills may recall her tattooed sister as well. The neat thing about this reality show is that we get a more in depth inside look at what really goes on in Audrina's life.

The season premiere starts off with a glimpse at her doing a bathing suit shoot. Audrina looks fantastic as usual, but I did not really get the point of it, sex sells though, and I guess it was a good start to sucking in some male viewers who didn't follow the previous shows she has been in.

Anyhow, after the shoot, a whole lot of nothing of importance goes on. Audrina announces she wants to move out of her home, which was burglarized, and her argument with her parents is that she does not feel safe living there anymore. For some weird reason though, her mom does not like the idea of her moving. The show must go on though, and Audrina and her brother Marky go out looking at some real estate.

We get an inside look at the homes she is viewing, and it is more like MTV Cribs, featuring Audrina house hunting though.

Next we pull up to the household of Mr. & Mrs. Patridge. They are all seated for dinner and Audrina announces that she is attending a fashion show and wants her mom to come along. Her sister however is pissed and says, 'I wanna go, Mom is old!'

Really nice... really, really nice. Uhg. I liked her in old reality shows when she showed her face seldomly on The Hills, but I have a feeling by the sneak peeks into the season of Audrina, that I'll dislike her more and more. I guess what it boils down to, is that some just don't stop to realize that they have 1 mom, and only 1 mom. That's just my take though, in this case, it is what it is, but it sure is ugly.

The show ends rather quickly only giving a taste of what is to come, so far though it does not look all that worthy as of yet, for there to even be a consideration of a season 2.
